What are Outcomes?
Outcome tools are forms that are completed by the patient regarding their functional abilities. They are specific to the body part that is impaired and allow us to objectively monitor your progress.
Why are they so important?
They...
1. measure patient progress relative to functional abilities.
2. critique therapist performance and evaluate their success rate.
3. justify the plan of care for patient services.
4. allow patients to objectively monitor self goals.
Outcome Tools Neck Disability Index (MDC 7, SEM 5)
Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS) (MDC 9, SEM 5, No Disability 80)
Modified Oswestry Low back Pain Disability Questionnaire (MDC 16, SEM 11)
Diasabilties of the arm, shoulder and hand (DASH)
